Job Opportunity: Senior Tax Associate

The Senior Tax Associate role is a key position within the tax team, responsible for overseeing and supporting tax compliance and advisory services for the business.

This encompasses aspects of corporate income tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and resolving tax and transfer pricing structuring matters after consulting with internal and external professional advisors.
  • Preparing and filing of internal and external tax returns and reports for entities in Southeast Asia, including current and deferred tax provisions, transfer pricing documentation, and tax audits with local authorities.
  • Monitoring tax regulatory changes and advising on their impact on the Company's tax and transfer pricing policies and practices.

Requirements include:

  • A strong international tax knowledge base and a professional accounting qualification (CPA preferred).
  • Bachelor degree and/or professional qualification in Taxation, Accounting, or related fields.
  • 4 - 8 years experience in public accounting firms (Big 4 preferred) and/or multinational corporations handling CIT, Indirect tax, and withholding tax compliance.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who is detail-oriented, resourceful, able to work independently, multi-task, and efficiently manage multiple tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have excellent business acumen and be able to propose solutions to tax issues after consulting with internal stakeholders and external and internal tax, legal, and financial advisors.

Experience with e-commerce and tax compliance matters for the SEA region would be an advantage but not a requirement.

This role offers the opportunity to continuously improve financial systems, processes, and productivity, supporting tax compliance project initiatives and contributing significantly to change and improvement efforts.
