Job Title: Technology Innovator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced technology innovator to join our team. As a senior software engineer, you will play a key role in developing innovative solutions that drive business growth and success.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software systems that meet the needs of our customers.

  • Work alongside a talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers to build and deploy cutting-edge features and products.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive and innovative.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in software development with a focus on innovation and technical leadership.

  • Extensive knowledge of programming languages, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

  • Experience working with relational databases and efficient data design and access.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Elixir, Phoenix, and PostgreSQL.

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails.

  • Experience with React.

  • Experience building software for regulated environments.

  • Experience in building, monitoring, and deploying modern distributed microservices hosted on AWS.

  • Demonstrated containerisation experience (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

  • Specialisation in Disaster Recovery within AWS and/or databases.

  • Knowledge in UNIX systems.

  • Previous experience in a startup environment.

  • Experience working with a remote team.

  • Experience working in the legal services industry.
