We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team.

About the Role:

">

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing and reviewing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Maintaining the general ledger, including recording and reconciling transactions;
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements;
  • Assisting with the external audit process, including providing supporting documentation and answering auditor questions;
  • Performing ad hoc tasks and project work as required;
  • Collaborating with other members of the finance team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial tasks;
  • Developing and implementing processes to improve financial reporting and accounting practices;
  • Reconciling KPOS to the accounting ledger for assigned areas;
  • Conducting sales and margin analysis;
  • Assisting in the budgeting process;
  • Preparing the monthly BAS.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards;
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero or QuickBooks;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
