Senior Financial Specialist | Tax and Advisory Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial professional to join our team in a tax and advisory capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian taxation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing and completing year-end financial statements and tax returns, as well as providing strategic tax planning and advice. They will also be required to assist with onboarding new clients, conduct tax research, and participate in internal system and process improvements.

In addition to their technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to clients and colleagues alike. They will be a self-motivated and dependable individual, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a remote team environment.

  • Job Description: Manage client portfolios, prepare financial statements and tax returns, provide strategic tax planning and advice.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Extensive experience in Australian tax within an accounting firm
  • Comprehensive understanding of Australian tax regulations and guidelines
  • Experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software
  • Hands-on experience in bookkeeping and/or SMSF
