Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Structural Design Engineer to join our team at ESCA Engineering. As a key member of our structural design team, you will be responsible for developing innovative and cost-effective structural designs for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop structural designs for buildings, bridges, industrial facilities, and other infrastructure projects
  • Utilize advanced software tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, Adapt PT, Enercalc, Section Builders, SeismoBuild and Seismo Stout, Revit, and AutoCAD to conduct meticulous structural analysis
  • Prepare mathematical models, lateral and structural analyses, computation, and basic detailed engineering designs and plans
  • Collaborate closely with the estimation team to create detailed specifications and precise cost estimates
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs seamlessly into overall project plans
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts and design recommendations to internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies
  • Supervise team in preparing plans and specifications, and perform reviews of structural plans and details
Requirements
  • Licensed Civil Engineer with proficiency in relevant engineering codes and standards
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a Structural Design Engineer
  • Proficiency in utilizing industry-standard software tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, Adapt PT, Enercalc, Section Builders, SeismoBuild and Seismo Stout, Revit, and AutoCAD
  • Expertise in retrofitting of existing structures, enhancing their resilience and safety against seismic activity, environmental factors, or structural deficiencies
  • Ability to assess existing structures, identify weaknesses, and develop effective retrofit solutions
  • Proficient in designing structures of different materials, including concrete and steel, employing innovative methodologies to achieve structural integrity and efficiency
