Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist (Project Based)

This role is pivotal in our organization's financial operations by overseeing and monitoring incoming payments and ensuring the accuracy of accounts receivable records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We will work within Epic Resoluteto manage accounts receivable, including claim follow-up, denial management, and collections.
  • Maintenance of accurate aging reports and timely resolution of outstanding balances through the effective use of work queues.
  • Claim denials and underpayments are thoroughly investigated and resolved, with root causes and trends identified for corrective action.
  • Careful processing of insurance follow-upsthrough Epic workflows, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-through.
  • Cordinated rebilling or appeals with payers directly through Epic or payer portals as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience working in Medical Accounts Receivable.
  • Proficient in the English Language, both written and verbal.
  • Prior experience in payment posting.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry.
  • Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, and patient accounting system.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
