Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. As an AR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate payment allocation and receipt verification.

This position involves daily cash posting from various banks and financial institutions, as well as month-to-month or week-to-week cash to accounting reconciliation.

Additionally, you will be responsible for designing a complete reconciliation process around the lock box process, reporting on cash receipts and volume, and updating customer remittance information.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will also perform account reconciliations, investigate and resolve inquiries or discrepancies, and establish effective relationships with customers and billing department colleagues.

Furthermore, you will set a regular cadence of reporting to your direct supervisor, coordinate with account managers and senior management to resolve customer complaints or payment issues, and perform other tasks to support the Finance Department.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily cash posting from various banks and financial institutions.
  • Month-to-month or week-to-week cash to accounting reconciliation.
  • Designing a complete reconciliation process around the lock box process.
  • Reporting on cash receipts and volume.
  • Updating customer remittance information.
  • Performing account reconciliations, investigating and resolving inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Establishing effective relationships with customers and billing department colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

2 years of experience in accounts receivable, including collections and contract management.

Familiarity with accounting systems like Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, and ConnectWise.

An associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced Excel skills.

Detail-oriented, goal-driven, with strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communicator with problem-solving abilities; committed to high-quality customer service; collaborative team player.

Passionate about process automation and scalability.
