Job Title: Financial Reporting Specialist

Filinvest Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial reporting function, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial statements.

About the Role:

The Financial Reporting Specialist will be responsible for adopting, developing, and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures. He/ She will manage a team to ensure that work and reports are properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Financial Statements Package: Review and analyze financial statements package, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform Analysis: Perform analysis of cash position report, car park performance report, amusement sales report, amusement income report, operating expense report, and various financial schedules.
  • Budget Preparation: Prepare budget and assist the controller in the presentation of financial reports and results of operations.
  • Audit Review: Review audited FS and income tax return.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with SEC requirements.

Expenditure Management:

  • Review Check Voucher Package: Review and ensure complete check voucher package.
  • Disbursement Authorization: Ensure that all disbursements are charged to the proper account and cost centers.
  • Government Reports: Ensure that all government-required reports and payments are properly and promptly submitted and paid.
  • Expenditure Validation: Ensure that all expenditures are valid and properly authorized.

General Accounting:

  • Monthly Closing: Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of books.
  • Journal Entry Approval: Review and approve journal entries before they are encoded in the system.
  • Reconciliation: Ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a regular basis.

Administrative Functions:

  • Team Supervision: Supervise efficient performance of all personnel within the department.
  • Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of information that is processed within the department.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement new procedures and processes to enhance the workflow of the general accounts.
  • Tax Coordination: Coordinate with the tax group for the closure of tax cases and assessments of the company.
  • Policies Compliance: Ensure strict compliance to approved policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Licensed CPA: Licensed Certified Public Accountant.
  • MS Office Applications: Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • IFCA/PPlus Knowledge: Preferably with working knowledge in IFCA/PPlus applications.
  • Managerial Experience: With at least 3 years managerial experience.
  • Attention to Detail: With good attention to details.

Salary: The salary range for this position is between $80,000 to $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
