Android Core Product Specialist Job Description

Speechify is looking for an experienced Android Engineer to support the growth of our Android app. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning major features, collaborating with the design team, and delivering high-quality features inside the app.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning and maintaining reliability metrics for key features
  • Participating in cross-team discussions — Product, Design, Engineering
  • Reviewing pull requests and supporting other teammates
  • Handling critical issues or unexpected challenges

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of software engineering experience, familiarity with Android components, and experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests
  • Excellent communication skills and a user-oriented problem-solving approach
  • Ability to work with continuous feedback from leaders
