About the Role:

  • Develop and manage detailed MEP system models (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical) up to LOD 500 using Revit or other BIM tools.
  • Ensure integration of design specifications, construction details, and fabrication-level information into models.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.

Responsibilities:

BIM Modelling
  • Develop and manage detailed MEP system models (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical) up to LOD 500 using Revit or other BIM tools.
  • Ensure integration of design specifications, construction details, and fabrication-level information into models.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
Family Creation
  • Design and create parametric Revit families for MEP components to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Optimize families for performance and ensure adherence to company standards and project needs.
Clash Detection and Coordination
  • Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts using software like Navisworks.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure that mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are fully integrated and clash-free.
BIM Management
  • Oversee and maintain the BIM model database, ensuring compliance with project and industry standards.
  • Update models based on changes, RFI responses, and as-built conditions to maintain model accuracy and coordination.
Project Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure the accurate implementation of designs.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and provide BIM insights and recommendations to drive project success.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Generate construction and fabrication drawings, schedules, and BOQs directly from BIM models.
  • Prepare and present clash detection reports, BIM progress updates, and model audits to project teams.
Standards and Quality Assurance
  • Ensure adherence to BIM standards, protocols, and guidelines specific to the MEP contracting industry.
  • Perform quality checks on models and drawings to maintain the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the data.
