Job Title: Integrated Building Services SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as an Integrated Building Services Specialist. This role will involve working with clients and partners to deliver high-quality fault detection and diagnostics products.
  1. Deliver and support clients and partners with the highest quality fault detection and diagnostics product.
  2. Collaborate on onboarding projects and communicate timelines and milestones to ensure analytics fulfills its role in a timely manner at a high level of quality.
  3. Conduct onboarding activities such as installing Data Collection Services, discovery of data, and organizing for Digital Building Engineers.
  4. Troubleshoot Diagnostics to perform automated fault detection on customer's HVAC equipment.
  5. Review findings and validate results reported by the software.
  6. Train and engage customer and partner users specific to the Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and related networking issues.
  7. Provide ongoing support of connected sites.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Confident and self-motivated with the ability to quickly grasp new technologies.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers and partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field, or 5-6 years of relevant industry experience.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC, controls, or fault detection and diagnostics.
  • Exposure to BAS protocols such as BACnet, Haystack, oBIX, and Modbus.
  • Exposure to BAS networking principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ideal candidate will have exposure to automated ongoing commissioning, fault detection and diagnostics, performance measurement and verification.
  • Ideal candidate will have exposure to metadata applications such as use of tags and standards, e.g., Project Haystack.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related technical degree) and an interest in building systems, or significant field experience in a controls or services company serving the buildings industry.
  • Certificate or equivalent experience in basic networking or computer fundamentals.
  • Learns technical and engineering solutions quickly and thoroughly, striving to improve upon them.
  • Can communicate technical information effectively to customers over the phone and through emails.
  • Can manage multiple projects in multiple countries simultaneously.
  • Thorough and analytical with good attention to detail.
  • Can creatively help streamline processes and find efficiencies for executing complex technical tasks.
  • Can conceive of and communicate product development ideas to leadership and product development teams.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where work processes are being established and constantly refined.
  • Motivated about changing the built environment with new tools, technologies, and business models.
  • Enjoys working in a close-knit, passionate environment where communication is key and the learning experience is invaluable.
