We are seeking a highly skilled mechanical design expert to join our team. Our company is an expanding international consultancy, with a proven track record in low energy design.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to and leading R&D engineering projects, developing and designing innovative mechanical solutions, implementing new ideas and technologies for data centers.

  • Research and implement new technologies in data center engineering, including renewables.
  • Develop designs that minimize environmental impact and stay at the forefront of net zero carbon design.
  • Create engineering solutions that can be implemented into client projects.
  • Analyze whole life cycle analysis (WLCA).
  • Promote innovative engineering ideas and solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
  • Membership of a professional institution, such as CIBSE or IMechE.
  • At least 2 years' experience in building services design, with 1 year's experience in DC design.
  • Ability to research and think innovatively.
  • Good understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering from first principles.
  • Managerial and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with key Health & Safety issues and legislation.
