As a Mechanical Designer, you will create accurate, production-ready designs for HVAC components and systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards. You'll collaborate with engineers, maintain CAD libraries, and optimize designs for efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness in global construction projects.

The Qualifications We Seek

• 3-5 years of experience

Required:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Intermediate to Advanced), focusing on MEP or mechanical components.
• Advanced experience in SolidWorks, especially in sheet metal, assemblies, and configurations.
• Solid experience using AutoCAD for 2D layout and technical documentation.
• Understanding of HVAC system components, especially fans and ERVs.
• Ability to interpret engineering data and specifications and convert them into manufacturing drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision.

Desirable:

• Experience designing EC plug fans, silencers, dampers, and casing structures.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards for mechanical design (AS/NZS).

Your Daily Tasks

• Create detailed 3D CAD models of axial, centrifugal, and roof-mounted fans, and ERV systems.
• Develop complete fabrication drawings, including sheet metal components, fan assemblies, and internal elements such as heat exchangers and motors.
• Design to manufacturing standards, ensuring drawings are production-ready and compliant with engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to translate technical requirements and performance specs into accurate designs.
• Maintain and update the CAD library for standard and custom products.
• Produce clear BOMs (Bill of Materials), exploded views, and section views for internal use and external suppliers.
• Ensure integration of models with BIM requirements where applicable (Revit).
• Optimize designs for cost-effective production and assembly.
