Administration & Maintenance:

  • Monitor and maintain MQ objects (queue managers, queues, channels, triggers)
  • Apply patches, updates, and perform version upgrades

Performance Monitoring & Tuning:

  • Optimize queue depths, log sizes, and buffer pools
  • Identify and resolve message processing bottlenecks
  • Analyze MQ error logs, dumps, and traces to determine root causes
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues and message delays

Disaster Recovery & Backup:

  • Implement MQ replication, backup, and recovery procedures
  • Participate in DR testing to ensure high availability of services

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM WebSphere MQ and IBM z/OS Systems Administration, as well as knowledge of z/OS architecture, functions, and hardware.
