Job Title: SMSF Accountant

We are seeking an experienced SMSF Accountant to join our team. As an SMSF Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing SMSF financial statements and tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and prepare SMSF financial statements and tax returns;
  • Ensure compliance with Australian superannuation rules & regulations;
  • Analyse information on file and request relevant information to finalise accounts;
  • Manage audit queries and resolve any issues that arise;
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other required documents.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of Australian superannuation rules & regulations;
  • Experience in preparing SMSF financial statements and tax returns;
  • Knowledge of SMSF compliance requirements and regulations;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • Membership of a professional accounting body (CA or CPA);
  • Experience in auditing and assurance;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
