Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a background in the construction industry to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and preparing financial reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software
  • Reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
  • Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
  • Tracking invoices, expenses, and payments to ensure timely collections and disbursements
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and construction industry regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and job costing is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong English communication skills: high proficiency in reviewing financial documents, clear and professional documentation of financial transactions, and effective communication with clients and team members
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
