Compliance Testing Lead

The Compliance Testing Lead is a key role that oversees the institution's compliance program, ensuring it is effective and aligned with regulatory requirements. This position directly reports to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and plays a crucial role in maintaining the Compliance Testing Manual and methodologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing regulatory testing plans in coordination with the Regulatory Compliance Lead;
  • Conducting periodic testing and reviews of the institution's Compliance program to assess its effectiveness and identify areas for improvement;
  • Assessing related regulatory and control requirements and documenting testing results and findings;
  • Evaluating the adequacy of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies in coordination with the AML Compliance Lead, procedures, and controls, and recommending enhancements to address identified deficiencies;
  • Communicating testing results to senior management and the board of directors, and assisting in the implementation of remedial actions to strengthen the organization's compliance programs;

Additional responsibilities include monitoring the implementation of action plans resulting from the compliance testing activity of concerned units through performance of monitoring validation exercises to ensure appropriate steps have been taken, a valuable risk mitigation exercise prior to internal or external audits.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification;
  • At least 3-6 years of relevant experience;
  • Certification in Audit, Compliance, or Risk Management is an advantage (e.g., CPA, CIA, CAMS);
  • Understanding of Compliance Testing Methodologies;
  • Ability to provide sound judgment during review and/or investigation;
  • Adequate knowledge of the financial services processes and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., BSP Issuances);
  • Proficiency in communicating with other stakeholders;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
