Job Overview

  • The Accountant role involves supporting accounting professionals by delivering exceptional opportunities and assistance to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily: Adhere to company protocols, manage email inbox, respond within 24 hours, track time in QuickBooks, complete bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks, provide accounting support as assigned.
  • Weekly: Bookkeeping for monthly reporting clients, follow up with clients on project inquiries, attach documentation to payroll and expense transactions, organize work papers.
  • Monthly: Bookkeeping for quarterly clients, review own work for accuracy, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, review reports related to the monthly close, collaborate with Senior Staff Accountants on report reviews.
  • Annually: Participate in 1099 process — collect W-9s, ensure vendor information is correct, generate expenses by vendor reports for clients engaging FFS for 1099.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • At least 2 years of end-to-end accounting experience including Financial Statements, Accounts Payable, Payroll Entries, and Accrual Accounting.
  • Experience in month-end close procedures.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients.
  • 2+ years experience with QBO, Xero, or similar cloud-based accounting software.
  • 1+ years experience with bill-pay applications.
