Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Position

This role is a remote opportunity that requires a deep understanding of cloud-based systems and infrastructure engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems.
  • Drive adoption and culture change across teams and applications.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of incident management, on-call practices, and postmortem analysis.
  • Design and implement monitoring, logging, and tracing systems to ensure application health and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
  • Implement automation and tooling to reduce toil and increase efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies to support infrastructure goals.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, including Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and containerization.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (preferably Python).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release engineering best practices.
  • Certification(s): Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes CKA/CKS, or equivalent.
