Financial Analyst Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, analyzing financial reports, and providing insights that inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Analyze financial reports from Xero and build Excel-based financial models, including three-way forecasting.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and cost control cycle.
  • Manage intercompany journals, transactions, and reconciliations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Consolidate reporting across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
  • Reconcile subscription revenue using Stripe data, ensuring accuracy in recurring revenue streams.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights that help shape business decisions.
  • Act as a trusted partner to leadership, delivering confidence and clarity around numbers.
  • Prepare SaaS metrics reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in finance processes.
Qualifications:
  • CA or CPA qualified with experience in Australia or New Zealand.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3-4 years of accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Experience leading month-end close processes – end-to-end, and intercompany accounting and reporting.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Exposure to SaaS or subscription revenue models (preferred).
  • Experience with Stripe preferred.
Skills:
  • High-level proficiency in Excel, including financial and three-way modeling.
  • Experience with month-end close and intercompany accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and deliver reliably.
