  • You will be in charge of checking and preparing layout films for plate, guaranteeing that all guides, codes, specifications, and other instructions are accurately placed and indicated on the plates.
  • Additionally, you will ensure that color, text, and design guides are transferred to the Quality Assurance Section after reviewing the plates.
  • For jobs with new die-cut layouts, you will issue a copy of the die-cut film to the QC Section and Die-Cutting Section.

**Requirements**

  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Pre-press Specialist within the printing industry, with a focus on packaging cartons and labels is required.
  • Familiarity with computer-to-plate technology is an advantage.

**Technical Skills**

  • You should have mastery of software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and CorelDRAW for designing and preparing artwork.
  • Familiarity with prepress software like Adobe Acrobat for preflighting, imposition, and color management is essential.
  • Understanding of color spaces, color correction, and color separation techniques is necessary to ensure accurate reproduction of printed materials.
  • You should be able to prepare print-ready files, including checking for image resolution, proper bleeds, trim marks, and file formats.
  • Knowledge of printing processes, including offset, digital, and flexography, as well as various printing substrates and finishes, is also required.

**Design Skills**

  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and visual composition is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics are also required.

**Communication & Collaboration Skills**

  • You should be able to effectively communicate with clients, designers, and printing press operators to understand project requirements and address any concerns.

**Project Management Skills**

  • You will be responsible for efficiently managing multiple projects with varying deadlines, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Being able to troubleshoot technical issues related to file preparation or printing processes and finding solutions quickly is also essential.
