Store Operations Leader

The role of Assistant Manager plays a vital part in driving sales and profit, customer loyalty, and providing leadership to the store team. They serve as the second-in-charge of operations and are accountable for promoting a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience by implementing GURA principles:
    • Greets customers
    • Unravels customers' needs and wants
    • Provides product solutions
    • Adds value and appreciates customers
  • Assists the Store Manager in managing store operations, including planning, prioritization, and delegating daily tasks
  • Supports the Store Manager in Team Member counseling, hiring/staffing decisions, scheduling, and training
  • Executes opening and closing procedures, transports deposits, and resolves customer complaints/issues
  • Leads freight movement, supports merchandising initiatives, feeds management, and inventory control
  • Operates cash registers/computers, supervises cash handling procedures, and adheres to loss prevention standards
  • Ensures the safety and well-being of birds, sanitizes poultry holding tanks, and cares for birds as required
Requirements:
  • Prior retail leadership experience is essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically with minimal conflict
  • Ability to perform and execute primary responsibilities of Team Members
Working Conditions:
  • Working environment is favorable with moderate noise levels
  • Indoor floors and outdoor lots generally consist of hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) with adequate lighting and temperature
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move and transfer merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the store
  • Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders for up to 12 hours
