Statistics Professional

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our data analytics team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with big data. This role involves data mining, data preparation, and reporting, as well as preparing and conducting analyses and studies. The selected individual will also be responsible for applying knowledge to determine the accuracy and reasonableness of data, recommendations, and solutions proposed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data mining, data preparation, and reporting
  • Preparing and conducting analyses and studies, needs/gaps assessments
  • Applying knowledge to determine the accuracy and reasonableness of data, recommendations, and solutions proposed
  • Documenting and summarizing results and developing recommended solutions to customer problems
Requirements
  • Four (4) years relevant experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research or other closely related quantitative or mathematical discipline
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research or other closely related scientific or technical discipline
  • Knowledge of data mining methods, databases, data visualization, and machine learning
  • Experience with analytic techniques such as Anomaly detection, Clustering, and Time-series (e.g., ARIMA)
  • Experience implementing NLP concepts including preprocessing (stemming, etc.), TF-IDF, Named Entity Recognition, and LLMs
  • Ability to communicate analysis techniques, concepts, and products
  • Strong SQL skills, and ability to identify issues with data
  • Experience with Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI tools, Databricks, AWS environment
  • Familiarity with industry best practices for software-hardware optimization when processing large sets of data
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
