Job Description

We are seeking a Part-time Health and Safety Officer to join our team at our Slane production facility in Co. Meath.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Management: Update and conduct site risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
  • Training and Development: Assist in providing Health and Safety training for new employees to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Carry out regular internal Health and Safety audits to monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all Health and Safety related documentation is up-to-date and accurate, including safety manuals and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A focus on continuous improvement, with the ability to implement problem-solving techniques and standardize processes.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Minimum Level 6 QQI in Health and Safety Required.
  • Knowledge and compliance of H&S Legislation.
  • Manual Handling Instructor and/or Forklift Instructor training would be beneficial.
  • IT proficiency in Microsoft Office.
