Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop applications, solutions, and software that consume data from the data lake or data warehouse for data visualization or advanced data analytics.
  • Develop and enhance big data architecture and open-source databases.
  • Establish controls on data collection, processing, transformation, and presentation.
  • Perform regular audits on data quality and ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data.
  • Manage scheduled jobs or programs, including enforcing policies and maintaining consistent system delivery per operational-level agreement (OLA).

You will work closely with business users, data owners and stewards, IT hardware support and infrastructure teams, IT data source teams, database administrators, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, communicate status, resolve issues, or present solutions.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in data development
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with implementing data and analytics solutions
  • At least 3 full-cycle implementation project experience

Key skills include Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies and practices, Systems/Relational Analysis and Design, Technical Skills: Python, Perl, C/C++, PL/SQL, NoSQL, Java, Linux and Unix, Big Data technologies like HDFS, Hadoop, Presto, Apache Spark, Cloud tools (AWS, Databricks, etc.), Data Warehouse, ability to administer systems and monitor application platforms, root-cause analysis, problem analysis, structured analysis and design, programming techniques.
