Video Editor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced video editor to join our team in a fully remote work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production, editing, and optimization for digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality video content for YouTube ads, including concept development, editing, and final delivery.
  • Develop innovative ad creative formats, angles, and series to craft a unique signature style.
  • Design and execute rigorous A/B testing of video variations to identify and amplify top-performing creative.
  • Integrate motion graphics, kinetic typography, animations, overlays, and sound design to amplify storytelling and brand personality.
  • Elevate production quality through nuanced color correction, grading, audio balancing, voice-overs, ambient sound integration, and strategic SFX/music cues.
  • Stay ahead of YouTube and social video trends, incorporating them creatively while maintaining brand voice.
  • Orientate and repurpose Meta & TikTok assets into YouTube creative both Shorts and Long Form, ensuring consistent visual language across formats.
  • Leverage analytics insights to refine editing strategies and prioritize creative adjustments that drive KPI improvements.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in digital marketing or eCommerce.
  • A proven track record of creating successful video ads for YouTube, with priority given to YouTube experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end video production, including concept development, editing, and final delivery.
  • Advanced knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar tools).
  • Proficiency in creating motion graphics and animations for ads.
  • Strong understanding of aspect ratios, resolution standards, video compression, and rendering for digital platforms.
  • Ability to propose and execute unique and out-of-the-box ideas to drive engagement.
  • Expertise in crafting high-impact storytelling within the constraints of short ad formats.
  • Deep understanding of hooks, pacing, and emotional resonance to optimize audience engagement.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and iterative design for ad creatives.
  • Basic understanding of video analytics tools to track performance and inform creative iterations.
