Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to fill this key role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with experience in preparing draft accounts, undertaking larger Limited company accounts, and providing general support to clients and directors.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Preparing draft accounts for review;
  • Undertaking larger Limited company accounts;
  • Clearing routine queries with the client;
  • Preparation of tax computations based on draft accounts;
  • Finalising figures for management and preparing paperwork for client approval;
  • Dealing with ad hoc client queries;
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT Returns using bridging software;
  • Providing general support to both clients and directors;
  • Assisting trainees with their queries and development.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience working within an accountancy firm during training;
  • Passion for using skills to support clients.

  • Sage;
  • Xero;
  • Xero Practice Manager;
  • QuickBooks;
  • FYI Docs;
  • MyWorkPapers.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong accounting background;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
