Electrical Estimation Role

We are seeking an accomplished Electrical Estimator to perform accurate takeoffs and costing for projects involving electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and can efficiently translate drawings into precise estimates.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough takeoffs and cost estimates using industry-standard software such as Planswift or Bluebeam
  • Analyze and interpret architectural and electrical drawings, including reflected ceiling plans, to identify relevant information
  • Quantify and catalog lighting fixtures and controls from project documents to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports using Microsoft Excel to facilitate project planning
  • Collaborate with the project team to verify and refine estimates through open communication
Key Requirements
  • Proficiency in Planswift or Bluebeam (mandatory)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Background in architectural and electrical projects to understand design complexities
  • Experience in electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans to ensure technical expertise
  • Familiarity with lighting fixtures and controls for takeoffs to guarantee accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Prior experience in costing/estimating is a significant advantage
