Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accounting Specialist to play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular audits to monitor and confirm financial condition.
  • Prepare budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, and recommending plans.
  • Provide timely status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Develop special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Cordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management.
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintain financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
  • Record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Summarize financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other statements.
  • Produce payroll by initiating computer processing, printing checks, initiating direct deposit, and verifying the finished product.
  • Secure financial information by maintaining strict confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of work experience as a bookkeeper or in a related accounting role.
  • General bookkeeping, AR or AP experience welcome.
