Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will be able to provide expert advice on financial matters, as well as manage and maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

">

1. Client Advisory & Communication: Serve as the lead accounting advisor for a portfolio of high-value clients, conducting monthly or quarterly client meetings to review financials and provide insights.

">

2. Team Coaching & Support: Support bookkeepers and junior accountants with technical accounting reviews, coach team members on accounting best practices and client communication, and provide training and quality control support for internal deliverables.

">

3. Financial Oversight: Review monthly/quarterly financials, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity, monitor KPIs and trends for clients and communicate implications clearly, and support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projects as needed.

Requirements:

">

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

">

2. US CMA, CPA, or equivalent designation (CMA strongly preferred)

">

3. Experience in audit a plus

">

4. 7+ years in accounting or controller roles, in a client-facing capacity

">

5. Demonstrated success advising small-to-mid-sized business clients

">

6. Outstanding English verbal and written communication skills

">

7. High emotional intelligence and professional presence with clients

">

8. Experience mentoring or coaching junior accounting staff

">

9. Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms (QBO/Xero, etc.)

">

10. QBO Pro Advisor Level 1 and 2 certification

">
