Staff Accountant Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations remotely.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain full-cycle accounting for multiple portfolio companies across various industries, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Record journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, utilizing NetSuite ERP to process and manage financial data.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations, maintaining strong internal controls and attention to detail.
  • Assist with budget preparation, forecasts, and variance analyses, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Support audits and tax preparation processes in coordination with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-client or multi-entity environment, with a focus on real estate industry expertise.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP required, with advanced Excel skills and knowledge of GAAP and internal controls essential.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
