Key Position: Senior Android Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to drive the development of our flagship Android application.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver key features, collaborating closely with the design team to create a seamless user experience.
  • Take ownership of major projects and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring exceptional performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and engineering.
  • Review and provide feedback on code submissions, supporting team members in their growth and development.
  • Handle critical issues and unexpected challenges with professionalism and expertise.
  • Deliver feature releases and provide nightly builds for quality assurance.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on Android development.
  • Familiarity with Android components and frameworks.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Excellent understanding of product design principles and user empathy.
  • Drive to innovate and push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and writing effective tests.
  • Self-motivation to improve the app and codebase beyond specifications.
  • Expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit testing.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a user-centered problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with continuous feedback from leaders.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience contributing to open-source Android projects.
  • Knowledge of iOS, Web, or NodeJS development.
