Mid-Senior Android Software Engineering Role

The role of a Senior Android Engineer at our company is to own major features and collaborate with the design team to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of software engineering experience, familiarity with Android components, and experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning major features and collaborating with the design team to deliver high-quality features inside the app.
  • Shaping the future of the Android team by driving innovation and strategic thinking.
  • Ensuring the reliability and performance of key features through ownership, maintenance, and improvement.
  • Participating in cross-team discussions — Product, Design, Engineering.
  • Reviewing code and supporting other teammates through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Handling critical issues or unexpected challenges through effective problem-solving.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Product design intuition and user empathy.
  • Drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of the importance of testing and how to write tests.
  • Self-drive to improve the app and codebase beyond the spec.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests.
