Software Test Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team. As an SQA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software products by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive manual test cases and test plans.
Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing and understanding software requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using a defect tracking system, and performing thorough regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not compromised by new changes.
In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality, participate in design and requirement reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective, document and communicate test results, status reports, and defect metrics to the QA Manager and development team, and mentor and provide guidance to junior QA testers.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, as well as proficiency in creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts. Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also required.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
