Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. This role requires exceptional technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex MRI procedures on scheduled and emergency basis.
  • Review and evaluate requisitions for MRI imaging, abstract data from patient charts, and determine appropriateness based on diagnosis and clinical signs.
  • Identify patients according to hospital policy with two identifiers.
  • Select appropriate equipment and technical parameters for imaging.
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional status, develop care plans tailored to their needs.
  • Explain procedures and address questions from patients and families regarding the exam and MRI environment.
  • Follow MR QC Exam/Data Integrity workflows.
  • Practice High Reliability Communication techniques.
  • Provide exceptional care and service, responding to patient and family needs.
  • Report equipment malfunctions via application.
  • Assist in organizing daily operations, including inventory and supplies management, QA/QC projects, and equipment repairs.
  • Support departmental and hospital meetings, participate in research, and assist in billing and coding reviews.
  • Fulfill managerial roles when necessary, monitor daily operations.
  • Act as Board Runner Technologist and champion new equipment or processes.
  • Participate in training and precepting new staff, fellows, residents, and students.
  • Ensure compliance with ETU, HIPAA, and BCH Core Values: excellence, innovation, communication, respect, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Complete required competencies and maintain licensure, certifications, and professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist - MRI
  • Associate's Degree in Allied Health
  • Minimum of 3 years of MRI Technologist experience
