Electrical Engineering Specialist

The Electrical Engineering Specialist will play a key role in the successful execution of electrical works related to HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) scope for a prestigious project.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and interpret electrical design drawings and specifications related to HVAC and BMS systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical works with overall project objectives.
  • Support the procurement team by reviewing technical submissions, equipment data sheets, and vendor proposals for electrical components, focusing on quality and reliability.
  • Maintain site execution of electrical installations for HVAC equipment and BMS controls, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Oversee cable routing, panel installations, power distribution, and grounding for HVAC and control systems, guaranteeing optimal performance and safety.
  • Contribute to the development of testing and commissioning plans for electrical systems supporting HVAC/BMS, emphasizing thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Foster collaboration with other engineering disciplines to prevent conflicts and ensure seamless system integration.
  • Perform regular site inspections to verify work is performed according to approved drawings and quality standards.
  • Support project documentation efforts, including as-built drawings, inspection reports, and material submittals, maintaining clarity and precision.
  • Participate in technical meetings and report progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering roles, preferably within MEP, HVAC, or BMS projects.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical systems for HVAC and building automation applications.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical design tools, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures is advantageous.
