Job Title: Remote Sensing Specialist

The Remote Sensing Specialist will support project design, feasibility assessment, implementation, and long-term monitoring.

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Sensing Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in analyzing and modeling remote sensing and geospatial data for applications such as land cover/use mapping, fire risk assessment, above-ground biomass estimation, and deforestation risk modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and model remote sensing and geospatial data using cutting-edge technologies, including cloud computing, machine learning, and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, SQL).
  • Leverage advanced remote sensing analysis & modelling techniques, i.e., image processing both active & passive sensors.
  • Support field data collection through drone coordination and validation activities, provides technical guidance and training, and ensures geospatial quality control across teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Environmental Science, Forestry, Computer Science or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Remote Sensing & GIS.
  • Experience and expertise in workflow automation, machine learning/deep learning techniques for image classification & segmentation.
  • Familiarity with photogrammetry software and programming skills in Python & Google Earth Engine.
