  • Log Monitoring: Review daily driving logs to guarantee compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Terminal Operations: Collaborate with the Deputy Terminal Manager to ensure trucks and drivers are ready for duty.
  • Load Planning: Develop daily plans to balance driver health and safety with customer demands, optimizing route efficiency.
  • Cost Optimization: Implement programs to minimize costs and streamline logistics operations.
  • Shipment Coordination: Combine shipments based on routes and timelines to reduce truck/driver requirements.
  • Negotiations: Engage in direct negotiations with vendors and customers to secure optimal rates.
  • Special Needs: Identify shipment requirements and assist drivers in obtaining necessary documents.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Logistics or transportation degree preferred.
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish desired.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT and OSHA compliance regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and data entry/input experience.
  • Communication: Clear and effective English speaking skills.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and respond promptly to situations.
