Excise Tax Senior

We are looking for an Excise Tax Senior to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling tax value notices and tax bills, interacting with taxing jurisdictions to resolve discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and reconcile tax value notices and tax bills, interacting with taxing jurisdictions to resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor changes in state and local tax legislation and rates, incorporating changes into monthly procedures and updating the team
  • Prepare and file timely and accurate motor fuel tax returns
  • Provide input for process improvements/automation
  • Independently apply knowledge in generating a tax computation/return
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Analytics, Numerical, and Detail-oriented
  • Deliver accurate and high-quality work
  • Organized and deadline-focused
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Comply with set procedures as per process guidelines
  • Ability to meet/adhere to strict deadlines, being passionate about the analyst role
  • Ask the right questions and zero reworks
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and computing ability

  • Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word, average typing skills
