Job Description

Senior accountant with extensive experience in US non-profit accounting is required to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information, preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries, maintaining the general ledger, summarizing financial status, and performing monthly, quarterly, and annual close responsibilities.


Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records by reviewing and verifying transactions.
  • Prepare and record journal entries, including asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries.
  • Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
  • Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close responsibilities, ensuring that deadlines and controls are met in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure optimum process and efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and more than seven years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Extensive experience in US non-profit accounting, including reporting and compliance (tax).
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Certified Public Accountant is a plus.
  • Experience in a Big 4 firm is a plus.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
