Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled medical interpreter to provide consecutive interpretation services for remote appointments.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and utilize your language skills to facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and timely interpretation during remote medical appointments.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and cultural competence in all interactions.
  • Support note taking and memory techniques as needed during interpretation.
  • Familiarize yourself with the consecutive interpretation process and uphold high standards of quality and service.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in both English and Plautdietsch (target language).
  • Strong verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Familiarity with note taking and memory techniques.
  • Professionalism and courteous behavior.
  • Accustomization to the consecutive interpretation process.
  • Strong ability and passion for interpretation and customer service.
  • Knowledge of the interpreter Code of Ethics.
  • At least 2 years of medical interpreting experience.
