Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Healthcare Claims Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of medical claims to insurance providers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Verify patient information and insurance coverage through online systems and phone calls.
  • Coding claims from approved lists according to each insurer's requirements.
  • Identify potential claim denials and take corrective action by scrubbing claims for adherence to specific insurer limits.
  • Electronically submit claims within 72 hours of service date using our software.
  • Resubmit denied claims within 7 days, gathering additional information as needed.
  • Monitor insurer websites for reports and EOBs, preparing monthly payment reports for bookkeepers.
  • Maintain accurate credentialing for all insurers whenever new providers join or leave the practice.
