Engineering Manager Position

We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager to lead our data platform team in building scalable and fault-tolerant systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, preferably with experience in Python and Golang.

The role involves leading a team of engineers, hiring, coaching, and mentoring them to achieve high-quality products. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound engineering skills by contributing code when needed, effectively manage expectations with other teams, and advocate modern software development practices.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A software engineering background, preferably with experience in Python and Golang
  • Experience running in production and at scale, preferably Big Data or MySQL
  • Excellent judgment about people - their motivations, abilities, developmental needs, and prospects for success
  • Proven ability to build high-quality, open-source software
  • Proven ability to drive good engineering practices around performance and quality
