As one of our Senior Software Engineers, you'll be accountable for building and deploying innovative features that change customers' lives daily. From our trailblazing AI hiring tool to our fully automated payroll solution, every component of our platform is carefully designed to disrupt the employment industry positively, improving the lives of business owners and entrepreneurs everywhere.Our world-class Product and Engineering teams delivered almost 1,000 new features last year. As one of our Senior Engineers, you'll play a vital role in accelerating our product strategy.Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Drive your squad to develop critical features for our customers, primarily using Ruby. Training will be provided to ensure you have the necessary skills
  • Closely collaborate with designers, product managers, and UX specialists to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Write automated tests for production code
  • Develop and maintain key components of web applications
  • Conduct testing and code reviews for yourself and colleagues
  • Mentor Junior Engineers within your squad
About You
  • You embody The EH Way, operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact
  • You are a highly skilled, senior-level Software Development Engineer with 6+ years of experience in software development (though technical expertise trumps years of experience)
  • You've focused on server-side and RESTful API development and integration in previous roles
  • You're proficient in at least one programming language, such as Ruby, Python, TypeScript, etc. We'll upskill you in Ruby when you join
  • You have proven experience implementing, maintaining, and deploying full-stack web technologies
  • You understand best practice software engineering processes, testing, and Agile methodology
  • You're a team player who always puts colleagues first and has a highly adaptable approach to work
  • You have good verbal and written English skills
  • You're passionate about learning, sharing knowledge, and mentoring teammates
  • You're open to expanding your expertise into Frontend technologies and growing into a FullStack Engineer role; we'll support you every step of the way
