Head of Cyber Security Operations

The role of a Cyber Security Head is pivotal in ensuring the organization's information security policies, standards, and procedures align with industry best practices.
This includes planning for security projects and initiatives, providing oversight to ensure resources are adequately available, and maintaining knowledge on various protective technologies to strengthen the company's security posture.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for reporting all information security-related issues, risks, and findings to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in a timely manner.
Furthermore, they will support internal audits for information security and provide support for external audits, data privacy audits, and compliance checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Information Security Governance: Manage the overall activities of the information security governance team, ensuring deliverables are completed within timelines and expected quality.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Proactively identify risks and propose areas for improvement to the Group CISO and Senior Management Team.
- Policies and Procedures: Lead the establishment of functional and technical information security policies, standards/guidelines, and procedures, ensuring their effective implementation across business units.
- Security Awareness: Develop and operationalize the Information Security Awareness Plan across the organization.
- KPIs and Performance Monitoring: Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively gauge information security implementation and review/analyze new security solutions/processes to streamline existing solution sets.
- Information Security Risk Assessments and Audits: Conduct risk assessments and audits to various business groups, managing projects to ensure completion within agreed timelines and identifying/mitigating risks as necessary.
- Mentorship and Training: Mentor team members to have a solid understanding of applicable information security standards and educate them on how to carry out audits and risk assessments.
