We are seeking an experienced Technical Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting, a deep understanding of materials and construction methods used in furniture making, and the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative environment.

Job Description

This role involves creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating design concepts and sketches into fully dimensioned production-ready technical documents, preparing exploded views, assembly instructions, and component lists to support fabrication and installation processes, and maintaining organized documentation of all revisions, drawings, and technical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
  • Translate design concepts and sketches into fully dimensioned production-ready technical documents
  • Prepare exploded views, assembly instructions, and component lists to support fabrication and installation processes
  • Maintain organized documentation of all revisions, drawings, and technical records
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in technical drafting, specifically in the furniture manufacturing or millwork industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery, materials, and hardware used in furniture production
  • Familiarity with CNC production workflows, material optimization, and lean manufacturing principles is a plus
  • Experience working with global or distributed teams is a plus
