Accounting Expert Opportunity

A rapidly growing shared services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support its finance team. This role provides administrative and accounting support, ensuring smooth financial operations and allowing senior management to focus on strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations Support
    • Provide day-to-day accounting assistance to the Head of Finance
    • Assist with monthly management reports, including analysis and commentary
    • Support offshore teams with supplier invoice processing and reconciliations
    • Maintain and monitor fixed asset registers
    • Ensure accurate financial records through journal entries
    • Prepare weekly payroll
  • Month-End & Year-End Processes
    • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
    • Prepare supporting reconciliations and documentation
    • Contribute to producing management accounts for leadership teams
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Develop clear, concise financial reports to inform business decisions
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage the finance inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner
    • Process local invoice payments and handle supplier setup
    • Process sales reimbursements and company expense claims
    • Maintain vehicle compliance requirements
    • Update daily cashbooks to ensure accurate cash flow records
  • Ad Hoc Support
    • Provide additional assistance on finance projects and other tasks as required
Requirements
  • 5+ years of solid accounting experience, including multi-entity accounting
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership and multiple entities
  • Comfortable working in a global environment with different currencies and time zones
  • Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Team management and leadership experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with NetSuite is desirable
  • Proficiency in payroll processing and awareness of current AI/automation trends in finance
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and organisational skills
  • Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • A valid CPA license is beneficial
