Job Overview

This role is a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with our founder to develop and promote children's titles. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing book creation, working with freelancers, and supporting the marketing process.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in managing the development of children's books from concept to publication, coordinate with freelancers, and ensure timely project completion.
  • Content Support: Review drafts, provide feedback, and maintain book-related files and documentation.
  • Marketing & Advertising Assistance: Support promotional efforts, including basic advertising, content preparation, and outreach; help execute marketing campaigns across online platforms.
  • Publishing Support: Research best practices for self-publishing platforms, assist in formatting manuscripts, and track royalties and sales.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is preferred).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience collaborating with creatives like illustrators and writers is highly valued.
  • A self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving mindset is required.
  • The ability to work independently in a startup environment is necessary.
  • Familiarity with children's book content and trends is desirable.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark.
  • Experience with graphic design tools or basic book formatting is beneficial.
  • A background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products is an asset.
