About the Role:

This full-time position involves working as a Legal Assistant in our team, focusing on providing top-notch support for our operations. Key responsibilities include managing sensitive documents, handling phone calls, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effective management of bankruptcy, workforce, estate, skip tracing, and dismissal accounts and correspondence.
  • Maintenance of updated account notes in the system (FACS) and assignment of dispositions.
  • Preparation of legal suits, court forms, and other essential documents, including e-filing as required.
  • Processing incoming and outgoing legal correspondence, scanning, and entering court returns.
  • Account dismissals for fully paid accounts.
  • Adherence to established guidelines and standards while operating independently.
  • Possession of confidentiality and professionalism in all activities.
  • Collaboration with various staff levels and departments for seamless processes and overall company success.
  • Embodiment of the organization's mission, vision, and core values in all professional interactions.
  • Response to customer inquiries, escalating complaints to management when necessary.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and basic PC operations.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and type while speaking on the phone.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, proper grammar, and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a professional attitude, and composure in high-pressure situations.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to build positive relationships with coworkers.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities with high accuracy.
  • A goal-driven attitude, competitiveness, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, talk, hear, and perform tasks requiring hand dexterity.
  • At least two months of relevant experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and FDCPA regulations and obtaining licensing in applicable states (preferred).
  • Background in customer service, sales, collections, or a related field (a plus).
