Site Reliability Engineer Position Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer role is responsible for ensuring site reliability, monitoring performance, handling alerts, and supporting emergency responses. They will work closely with software engineers, DevOps, and product teams to maintain robust infrastructure and automation for critical applications.

Responsibilities
  • Pipeline Build and Maintenance: Manage pipeline build and maintenance per client tooling and standards.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Engage in the software development lifecycle, ensuring solutions meet availability, performance, security, and maintainability standards.
  • System Metrics Monitoring: Monitor system metrics and health, analyze reports.
  • Production Support: Support production and in-house systems; participate in on-call support.
  • Incident Management: Lead incident management, conduct root cause analysis, and perform post-incident reviews.
  • System Security and Resiliency: Implement system security and resiliency measures.
  • Process Improvement: Improve processes within the program.
  • Transaction Message Monitoring: Monitor ISO 8583 financial transaction messages in a 4-party payment model.
Requirements
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience.
  • Mandatory Domain Knowledge: Mandatory card payment domain knowledge.
  • CICD Pipeline Experience: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, PCF).
  • NoSQL & SQL Database Knowledge: Knowledge of NoSQL & SQL databases (MongoDB, Oracle, Postgres).
  • Distributed Systems Management: Experience managing distributed systems and microservices.
  • Unix Tooling and Scripting: Familiar with Unix tooling, scripting skills.
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace).
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or similar.
  • SLOs and SLAs Understanding: Understanding of SLOs and SLAs.
  • SRE/DevOps Team Experience: Experience in SRE/DevOps teams, understanding principles.
  • Soft Skills: Strong initiative, communication, and collaboration skills.
